A door closed, and a window opened
I began Easty Marketing Group out of necessity. After years of hard work and God blessing our family, a door closed, and a window opened.
We had been giving 17% of our income to the Lord, and he presented an opportunity for us to move into a dream home. Through that move, we felt called to lower our giving back down to a general tithe, while we looked at the new home as a sort of 'promised land'.
We had been in the home about a year when my employment situation was dramatically changed, and our backs were against a wall.
Provision in an uncertain season
God parted the Red Sea, and in a matter of months he had provided in a miraculous way that kept us excited and showed us he was with us.
The typical woes of entrepreneurship crept in, and I found myself, after experiencing miraculous growth, like I didn't know what the next step was. God, again, moved and grew the business in a way that could have only been through His divine power and grace.
Who makes things grow
The more I thought on it, the more I came to the conclusion that any growth is through His divine power.
1 Corinthians 3:6-7
6 I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow.
7 So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow.
A renewed purpose
Only God has the power to bring the increase. The Bible clearly states that our power is not enough, that we need Him as well.
So I have recommitted my business to God, and He has laid on my heart that this business isn't about making money, but rather about making disciples for the Kingdom.
